Customer Service, Shipping, & Return Policy

• Our Mission:

We are dedicated to providing the best possible service before and after the sale. By offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee, you do not have to worry about getting the wrong gear, size, or condition. You are welcome to try any item at no risk (please see our return policy). There are some times we are so busy that we can't achieve the customer service that we desire to provide to our customers, we appreciate your patience during those periods, and rest assured we will get you taken care of properly. Although we have several employees, there is only 1 lead helmet/gear tech and he checks each helmet personally to make sure it is correct. There are many times that we send out several helmets per day and each requires custom work.

• Order Problems:

We make every effort to ensure your order is correct when it leaves our building, we are human, though, and mistakes may be made- our sincere apologies if we omitted or sent the wrong item. Please do not be concerned, it will be corrected at our expense. If you are missing something or received the wrong item, please contact us at 800-531-4898 or email as soon as possible so we can get it corrected. If it is required for you to send something back due to an error on our part, we will cover that shipping charge. It is our goal that you are totally satisfied with your order.

• Item Returns: has a very generous return policy: 4-day inspection starting the day the tracking number shows the package was delivered with a 100% satisfaction guarantee (we are not able to refund shipping or credit card / Paypal fees unless a mistake was made on our part). We do not want any customer to tell their flying buddy that they got 'stuck' with something from, if you do not like the item for any reason, we will replace it or refund your purchase price. As of Oct 2019, Paypal no longer refunds the fees for refunded Paypal or Credit Card transactions. Therefore, refunds for returns that are not due to an error on our part, will be for the purchase price if the item(s), is less 4% to cover the fees that Paypal does not refund. Custom order items and items (I.e., new helmets, custom painted products, embroidered products) that are customized may be ineligible for return. Merchandise is coming and going all day every day so it is important that you contact us prior to returning anything. Items returned without a Return Authorization Number may be delayed or refused. 

To return or exchange an item:

  • Open the package immediately upon receipt and inspect for damage that occurred during shipping. Check size, fit, and condition to meet your requirements. Any items that are vintage, Government surplus, hard to find, or one-of-a-kind, have been stored and may need to be cleaned gently or dry cleaned to remove signs of storage including odors, dirt, dust, etc.
  • If there is a problem in any way, contact us within 4 (four) days of receipt via email ( or telephone (800-531-4898 or +1-410-357-6002). After 4 days, all requests are subject to a restocking fee or refusal.
  • We will discuss options available like a different size, upgrading condition, different type of item, or a refund.
  • If asked to return the item that was shipped to you, you will be given a RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER that must be included on the box or address label to ensure a speedy turnaround of your request. The format will look like this:

  • All item returns are handled on an individual basis, some exchanges can be shipped same day, and some require customization and may take several days to prepare. You will be advised of the estimated delivery time. Credit card refunds are usually completed within 4-5 days of receipt of returned item.

Layaway Purchases: wants everything we sell to be affordable to our customers. We offer a zero-interest layaway plan as long as the item is paid off within 4 months. The total purchase price including the shipping amount is divided by 2 (2 months), 3 (3 months), or 4 (4 months) and a minimum payment is required each month for the agreed-upon time frame. The length of time is dependent on the amount of purchase.

  • 0% interest if paid off within the 4-month time limit.
  • If over the 4-month time limit, a simple monthly interest rate of 3.5% applies to the unpaid portion. This amount is non-compounded.
  • If no payment is received, a $10.00 fee per month applies.
  • If an order is canceled after 4 months, a 50% restocking & and relisting fee is charged + interest and non-payment fees.
  • If the layaway remains in our possession for over 1 year, the items are considered abandoned.
Shipping Cost Estimates:

We ship USPS (United States Postal Service) & UPS (United Parcel Service). Shipping costs, base shipping costs, and time frames are estimates and are subject to change depending on shipping method/carrier, shipping carrier rates/times, weight and dimensions of package, and destination.  
Please Note: Helmets are usually shipped individually and have a separate base cost, see rates below. 

For Domestic Shipping, we estimate the shipping costs based on the shipping method and typical order size, weight, value, and destination. The estimated shipping base costs are as follows:

Please note on all orders that we do not currently offer real-time shipping cost calculations. Therefore, the actual shipping cost may exceed the estimated shipping cost. If this happens, we will contact you with the actual shipping cost and need your approval before completing the billing and shipping of your order. 

However, if you wish to approve any additional shipping costs without being contacted, you can leave the box checked that states "I authorize a shipping cost update without being contacted" when selecting a shipping method for your order. By doing so, you give us your approval to add the additional shipping charges to your order total and ship without the need to wait for your approval. If you choose to opt-in for this option, we will adjust the order total to reflect the actual shipping cost and ship the order without waiting for cost update approval. 

Please keep in mind that additional, heavy, large volume, or high value items may increase the shipping amount. On the other hand, small items such as patches may ship via Priority mail or First Class for less. Regardless of your shopping cart total, the shipping will be adjusted to the actual amount. If you need an expedited shipping quote, please let us know at the time of your order.

For Worldwide Shipping, we are unable to ship certain products outside of the USA due to US Government regulations (Sales Restrictions). We will not send any helmets made after 1975 out of the US, and each helmet prior to that date is up to our discretion. However, we can ship many items overseas via US Post Office and UPS. The shipping rates depend on your country, and we estimate the shipping costs as follows:

  • UPS International with tracking numbers: $135.00
  • UPS International (Flight Helmet, see note above on restrictions): $150.00 
  • USPS Priority (Flight Helmet - APO): $85.00
  • Priority Express with tracking numbers and a 3-5 day delivery time: $75.00
  • Priority Mail Insured with a 6-12 day delivery time: $55.00
  • First Class Mail without insurance or tracking: $24.00 (not recommended)

Please note that while First Class Mail is a less expensive option, it is not insured or trackable. Therefore, we do not recommend this option, but we offer it for customers who wish to take the risk. If you need a postage quote for international shipping, please request it. 

Additionally, for both Domestic and International Shipping: If you have a FedEx or UPS shipping account number, we can use it to ship your order and refund the postage charge.
