VMFA-212 Lancers Set - 1983

Captain Kent Talmon flew with the above flight gear on 2 WESPAC deployments with the United States Marine Corps VMFA-212 "Lancers" squadron. Capt Talmon flew the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II on these deployments. His call sign was PADRE, although I can't be sure why, I speculate because he was calm, quiet and responsible (based on cruise book photos and info).  His gear as shown above is as follows- HGU-33/P helmet; MBU-14/P REDAR mask; CWU-27/P flight suit; Modified MA-2 harness/survival vest with all contents; LPU-23/P; CSU-15/P g-suit; GS/FRP-2 gloves; steel toe flight boots; and his personal patches- name plate, VMFA-212 insignia, F-4 Phantom II disc.
